Getting vaccinated if you’re unwell
If you have a high temperature or feel unwell, wait until you’re feeling better before having any vaccine. Contact your GP surgery to rearrange your appointment.
Flu Vaccination

The flu vaccine is safe and effective. It’s offered every year through the NHS to help protect people at risk of getting seriously ill from flu.
The NHS website provides more information about the flu vaccine, and who can get it.
You can book your appointment:
- Using the NHS App
- Using the self-book link in your invitation
- By calling us on 0161 799 3233
- By visiting the surgery
How to book your flu jab in the NHS App
- Go to Services.
- Select Check for available GP appointments.
- Select an appointment type using the Select an Appointment box. Choose the Flu Clinic option.
- Choose an appointment and select it. You can see the date and time of your appointment.
- Select Confirm and book appointment.
COVID-19 Vaccination
The COVID-19 vaccination is safe and effective. It gives you the best protection against COVID-19.
The NHS website provides information about the vaccination, who can get it, and its side effects and safety.

You can book your COVID-19 vaccine appointment in the NHS App.
Select the Services icon, scroll down and select Book.
You can cancel or change a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
You can check if you need a vaccine and book the vaccine appointment.
If you already have an appointment, you can see the details of the booking, reschedule or cancel.
If you need help, go to nhs.uk/nhsapp.
Having both vaccinations?
You are able to have both the flu and the COVID-19 vaccines at the same time. This is called co-administration.
We will be offering this service at our surgery. This will be provided by Salford North Primary Care Alliance.
They will share details of upcoming COVID-19 clinics before they happen. This will usually be through a poster in the surgery. You might also get a text message, letter or phone call.
